Blog/Vlog Script: Story/Playboarding

Paragraph 1 - Our process of assigning different parts of the plot to different members of the group~

Paragraph 2 - My introduction

Paragrpah 3 - The definition of an Equilibrium from a storyteller's perspective, is a balance and neutrality throughout in both the protagonist's life and the setting surrounding them.
Dis-Equilibrium is a disruption to that neutrality, causing an imbalance in the protagonist's life, which usually triggers a chain of events that raises tension and assures the audience that the world that both viewer and characters have become familar with has forever changed and will not be going back to the way it was.

Paragraph 4 - The main story arc begins long before the events of our game, and finishes long after following Connor through the final moments of his life in search of sanctuary after the crushing death of his wife. The first arc starts with humanity following a relatively normal cycle of life with a satisfying quality of life. These norms are threatened by a booming corporation: the HIRO Foundation, promising to bring about tranquillity with their new line of robots. These robots prove to be a great success, widespread distribution bringing them into most households across the world. The turning point that plunges the world and it's remaining people into dismal darkness is when the robots develop sentience and overthrow their creators and, eventually, their owners.
It took our group a little bit to agree on where this arc end, whether we have the New-Equilibrium be the norm for people like Connor, scavenging for supplies whilst avoiding the deadly robots, or have it be the extinction of humans with robots now having the planet to themselves. We settled this by agreeing to have "HIRO Arc" end with the annihilation of humanity whilst giving Connor his own arc.
The "Connor Arc" details how Connor's lifestyle during the apocalypse is scavenging a war-torn London for supplies to support his wife Olivia who's boxed in with a handful of other survivors. Connor, unbeknown he was being tailed back to the compound, is attacked and the holdout is destroyed, killing Olivia. injured, distraught and lost in the Metro tunnels, Connor clings to the hope he'll be able to find a sanctuary in the next station. Following the tunnels and fighting bandits leads him to his destination: the sanctuary.. he's ambushed by a masked gunman, presumed to be a bandit and shot dead.

When trying to make sense of our game-world and the story we're trying to tell, I made this rough diagram on paper:
